Here’s a short piece from 1982.
I didn’t actually record myself playing this on guitar. I rendered it in Cubase using the Halion Tales software guitar.
I wanted to see how it would sound with arpeggios instead of block chords in the last few bars. I ended up keeping two tracks, one with the block chords and one with arpeggios, so it doesn’t sound exactly as written.
I should not have called it a “Tone Poem”. That term has a specific meaning in classical music and this is not actually a tone poem.
Why frogs? When I wrote it, there was a young woman I liked who had pet frogs.
